Most full coverage insurance covers windshield repairs absolutely free of charge. It's covered in your Comprehensive package. If you pay to have Comprehensive coverage with your plan and are not using your "1 free windshield repair a year" you are basically throwing away a repair voucher that is a part of the package you pay for. They waive your deductible and it does not raise your rates.
